Hi, Bill FitzPatrick, President of Wellesley Real Estate.
I wish I could.
I wish I could.
Sorry, but in the real world, I wish I could, just doesn’t cut it.
Wishful thinking is nothing.
You need DETERMINATION.
To be among the elite of Wellesley Real Estate agents, you need Determination.
Determination to be laser focused on a specific goal of selling your Wellesley Home and negotiating the best deal possible. Or, if you are a buyer, finding just the right home at the right price
Determinationto learn. Markets conditions change in real estate. They change in Wellesley. You must know what is happening and be able to advise your client.
Determinationto take risks. Today, marketing a Wellesley home takes more than placing an ad in the Townsman or slipping a listing into MLS and then waiting for the phone to ring or another agent to sell the house for you. You need to be able to think outside the box.
Determinationto continue when you are bruised and disappointed. This business isn’t easy. It’s easy to simply tell sellers what they want to hear. Get the listing. Overly praise everything. Get the listing. And, then, when the house doesn’t sell, cajole the seller into adjusting the price to market conditions. It’s a business where over promising and under delivering is unfortunately the norm.
Determination to admit and learn from your mistakes.
Determination stay flexible, adjust and keep moving forward.
In the coming years, to succeed, will require toughness. Determination is a key component of toughness. No mommy, no daddy, no frat buddies, no luck, you look inward for strength and you move forward.
To be determined enough to say and hold the course, “I will tell the truth and I will do my best.”
